There are many events of interest to rockhounds in and around Ontario and Quebec. Not only do we have events sponsored by our member clubs listed here, we have also listed activities that would be of interest to our members, which are within a day's driving distance.

CCFMS FIELD TRIP TO YATES URANIUM MINE OTTER LAKE QUEBEC Fully Booked
A Field Trip to the Yates Mine Otter Lake, Quebec is planned for October 8, 2005 for all CCFMS members in good standing subject to a limit of 30 members and a maximum of 5 members per club that register before Sept 15, 2005 on a first come first serve basis with Trip Leader Bill Plavac. If the maximum limit of 30 is not reached, clubs that wish to have more than the club limit of 5 attend will be notified after Sept 15, 2005.

Members wishing to collect must register in person by calling Bill at 705 - 719 2797 or by email @ whtdogmin@rogers.com  no later that Sept 15, 2005.

Participants must be at the gate by 9:00 am. Fee is $20 per person plus a fee of $3 to the land owner. Up to 40 lbs of material is included in $20 fee and anything above 40 lbs will charged at .50 cents per lb.

Protective equipment must be worn.
